PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
JusBooking Technologies LLP (“JusBooking”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you search for and book stays on the JusBooking website and mobile applications, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers guests booking stays. If you are a hotel partner using our property management software, the Privacy Policy for hotel partners applies instead.
1. Information We Collect
- Booking details: guest name, mobile number, email address, stay dates, Property and room selected, number of adults and children, the ages of children travelling with you, and any special requests you enter.
- Account details: where you create an account, your name, mobile number and email, and one-time passwords used to verify you.
- Reviews: ratings and written feedback you submit after a stay, and the display name shown alongside them.
- Enquiries and support: messages you send us through contact, support or list-your-property forms.
- Usage and device data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, searches run and access times, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
For Pay at Hotel bookings we do not collect or store your card details — payment is made directly to the Property. Where online payment is offered in future, payments will be handled by a regulated payment gateway and we will not store full card numbers.
2. Children’s Information
We ask for the number and ages of children in your party because occupancy rules and child pricing depend on them. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children, and accounts may only be created by adults. Children’s details should be entered by the adult making the booking.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To show availability and pricing for the dates, rooms and guests you enter.
- To create, confirm, modify and cancel bookings, and to send vouchers, reminders and status updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To let you find and manage a booking, including through secure booking links and one-time password verification.
- To provide customer support and handle complaints and grievances.
- To publish verified guest reviews and improve our search results and recommendations.
- To detect and prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To send offers and travel updates where you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting your bookings.
4. Legal Basis and Consent
We process your data to perform the booking you ask us to make, to meet our legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform, and otherwise with your consent. Where processing rests on consent — such as marketing messages — you may withdraw it at any time, and we will stop that processing going forward.
5. Who We Share It With
- The Property you book: we share the guest name, mobile number, email, stay dates, occupancy and special requests so it can honour and service your booking. The Property handles that data under its own privacy practices.
- Service providers: hosting, communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp), analytics and, where applicable, payment providers — acting on our instructions under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities: where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of guests, Properties or the public.
- Business transfers: if our business is reorganised, merged or acquired, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your search preferences, measure how the platform is used and improve it. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though some features — such as staying signed in or retaining a search — may not work correctly if you do.
7. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and one-time-password verification for sensitive actions such as cancelling a booking. Links to a booking act as access credentials and should not be shared. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. Account data is kept while your account is active. Published reviews may remain visible after an account is closed, and we will disassociate them from your account on request where we are not required to retain them.
9. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to erase data we no longer need to keep, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent for marketing or other consent-based processing, or ask us to restrict it. This may affect some features.
- Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Data Location and Transfers
Your data is processed in India. Where a service provider processes data outside India, we require safeguards consistent with applicable Indian data protection law.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints about the handling of your personal data may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at the contact details below. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within the timelines prescribed by law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be notified on the platform.
